Keyboard shortcuts to add accent marks and punctuation to Spanish words?

by admin on December 2, 2010

I have a Dell Dimension 43005 with Windows XP and my browser is Mozilla Firefox. I need codes to add upside-down exclamation points and question marks and accent marks for Spanish words.

This should work in any Windows word processor, text editor, browser or email client.

1.For any of the following, make sure your keyboard is in Num Lock mode.
2.Hold down the ALT key and enter, on the numeric keypad:

for ñ 164
for Ñ 165
for á 160
for í 161
for ó 162
for ú 163
for ¿ 168
for ¡ 173

Hope that helps.

héllo – you need letters like the é in hello, you get this by holding down the alt key and typing 0233 on the keypad, not the number keys above your lettered keys – alt+0233

you have a character map – go to start, run and type in charmap. you can quickly learn the keystrokes to do these accented keys
